Fajr Film Festival selects 5 documentaries to vie

The 37th Fajr Film Festival selects 5 documentaries to take part in competition.

Selection panel of the Fajr Film Festival’s documentary section has announced five documentary titles to take part at the 37th edition of the festival.

The selection panel, including Morteza Razzaq-Karimi, Salim Ghafouri and Arash Lahouti, selected five docs to take part at the festival.

The panel reviewed 45 documentary films among which the followings were selected:

  • ‘Baharestan House of Nation’ directed and produced by Babak Behdad
  • ‘All That’s Missing’ directed and produced by Zeinab Tabrizi
  • ‘A House for You’ produced by Mehdi Shahmohammadi and directed by Mehdi Bakhshi-Moqaddam
  • ‘Beloved’ directed by Yasser Talebi and produced by Elaheh Nobakht
  • ‘Copper Notes of a Dream’ produced by Morteza Shabani and directed by Reza Farahmand

The Fajr Film Festival is Iran's most important annual film festival, held every February.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 37th edition of Fajr Film Festival is scheduled to be held in February 2019.
